Painting on glass with vitreous paints and stains.

Vitreous paint is a mixture of ground glass, and a pigment oxide for colour. These superior glass stains and paints from reusche, drakenfeld and hancock, are offered in 1 oz Packets (28.3 grams). The packet contains powdered colours, which must be mixed with water and gum arabic or other mixing agents before applying to glass, and subsequent kiln firing.

Deka Transparent Paints.

Deka transparent paints are both "see through" and fade resistant. The brilliant colours are concentrated so a little paint goes along way. All deka transparent paints can be blended with each other. To make pastel shades, blend # 25 colourless extender with colour. Use # 37 deka thinner for clean up.
