Australian Stained Glass Supplies.

Our courses cover all the practical and aesthetic aspects of creating works in Leadlight, Copper Foil and Kilnwork.
We cover in detail all the tools, equipment, techniques and skills needed to accomplish the work. We also cover important related subjects such as workshop layout and safety precautions.

 

TUITION CLASSES IN LEADLIGHT

8 WEEK TERMS   $195.00

        EVENING CLASSES 6.00pm - 9.00PM           Next   July 28th

Do you have a window or door that needs some TLC? Maybe more than one. Would you like to make a lampshade, or make a decorative mirror? You can learn the skills you need to make it yourself. Students are free to do their own design or use our library for inspiration. Let us teach you what you need to know the design and making of leadlight windows and panels. The course covers glass cutting and soldering. This is a “hands on” class, so you will learn by doing. Our tutor is a highly regarded professional who has been designing and making leadlights and lamps for many years.

     COPPER FOILING      As Above                  Next  July 28th

This medium is more suited to making lamps, suncatchers, and similar projects. As with other classes feel free to bring your own ideas or you can use our library. Our studio is specifically designed for teaching, and has 3 large light-tables, glass grinders, drawing materials, soldering irons, design books, etc. If you have glassworking tools bring them along, alternatively you can buy all materials at our studio.                   FUSING & SLUMPING    August 2nd & 9th

             Courses run for 2 consecutive Saturdays 11 am to 3 pm.

Fusing & slumping offers new and exciting ways for you to work in glass. Students will complete a number of fused and slumped pieces of their choice. These may include bowls, platters, and other functional or artistic items. Bring your own ideas. Previous glass cutting experience is not necessary as all our classes begin with basic glass cutting. After the class you can continue to use our studio and kilns for a small cost.
